Driving the Future of Electric Fleets: Make My Day Partnering with Chery Commercial Vehicles

As commercial fleets around the world transition toward electrification, the challenge is no longer just about deploying electric vehicles; it is about managing them efficiently at scale.

Nisan Katz and I recently returned from a productive visit to Wuhu, China, where we met directly with our counterparts at Chery Commercial Vehicle.

Chery Commercial Vehicle is a global powerhouse in the automotive space, and working alongside their engineering and strategy teams confirmed a shared vision: the next phase of commercial fleet electrification depends heavily on intelligent software integrations.

During our strategic discussions in Wuhu, we focused on aligning Make My Day’s smart EV fleet management and route optimization algorithms directly into Chery’s growing commercial ecosystem.

Why This Collaboration Matters

Transitioning commercial fleets to EVs introduces operational variables that traditional telematics or internal combustion engine tools were never built to handle:

  • Dynamic Range and Route Optimization: Factoring in real time battery State of Charge (SoC), cargo payload changes, and route topography to prevent range anxiety without wasting driver time.

  • Smart Charging Strategy: Balancing vehicle turnarounds with depot constraints and dynamic energy grid tariffs to avoid peak load surcharges.

  • Ecosystem Integration: Embedding algorithmic optimization directly into the vehicle architecture and fleet operator platforms to provide frictionless control.

By bringing Make My Day’s algorithmic optimization into Chery’s commercial vehicle software ecosystem, we are creating a seamless experience for fleet managers and enterprise operators globally. This collaboration ensures that fleets do not just go electric they operate with maximum efficiency, lower total cost of ownership (TCO), and zero downtime.

Looking Ahead

Our trip to Wuhu is an exciting milestone as we continue expanding our footprint globally and scaling our solutions across international markets.

We are thrilled about the roadmap ahead with Chery Commercial Vehicle and look forward to sharing more updates as our joint efforts roll out.
